Title | Letter from H [Henry] Montagu Butler, Trinity Lodge, Cambridge, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Butler; Henry Montagu (1833-1918); British college head |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 9 June 1891 |
Description | Larmor's telegraph has just reached him, which was unfortunate. He explained in a letter a few hours ago that it was necessary to have the Grace printed for the Reporter. He thought that barring accident he would receive a telegraph from Larmor, but having left the Reporter waiting, and being unable to delay further, he erased Larmor's name in favour of McAlister's. He hopes that Larmor will forgive him and fears he must have blundered in some way in addressing the letter. |
