| Title | Letter from T J J [Thomas Jefferson Jackson] See, Mare Island, California, to Sir Joseph] Larmor, Cambridge |
| Creator | See; Thomas Jefferson Jackson (1866-1962); American astronomer |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 5 August 1926 |
| Description | He thanks Larmor for his kind letter, but in finding that Larmor thinks that age will hinder his future labours, See gives the example of [Hermann] Kobold and other elderly scientists: including [Alexander von] Humboldt, [Johann Gottfried] Galle, and Sir William Huggins. He encloses a copy of his letter to Sir J.J. [Joseph John] Thomson, expressing his disappointment that Cambridge has followed phantoms such as Relativity, and positive and negative charges. He has also expressed himself very plainly to [Ernest] Rutherford. |
