TitleLetter from George W [Walker] Walker, 17 Anglesey Crescent, Alverstoke, Hampshire, to Sir Joseph [Larmor]
CreatorWalker; George Walker (1874-1921); British seismologist
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date20 July 1920
DescriptionHe has been seeing high officials since meeting Larmor. Walker has the backing of the sailors and others in pressing his case with the Treasury. Much depends upon Sir T. [Thomas] Heath, who seems to have backed him because he detests [Rochard Tetley] Glazebrook 'who seems to have been trying to down me'. He asks if Larmor knows of anyone who could put in a word for him, to help the Controller fight the battle for those who have worked for M.S. When matter sare settled he will look for work elsewhere.
