TitleLetter from James Ward, Nursing Home, 53 Beaumont Street, to Sir J [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorWard; James (1843-1925); British philosopher and psychologist
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date29 October 1910
DescriptionHe has been in the nursing home for seven weeks, and had two operations, but he now hopes to leave. Meanwhile he has a proof of fifty pages to read for the Encylopaedia Britannica, and therefore he will not have much time for Larmor's Herschel papers. He would be able to give an opinion by the end of next week. He notes the publication date of [Immanuel] Kant's 'Critique of Pure Reason' and doubts that W.H. [William Herschel] would have heard of him.
