DescriptionHe thanks Larmor for his useful letter, with suggestions of candidates for the Barnard Medal. H ewil guard the confidential statement of the Royal Society's capital contributions. It is difficult for Americans to keep neutrality in the face of events in Europe. He criticises the 'monstrous doctrines' of the Kaiser and his advisors. It defies explanation how German men of science could accept them. He hopes that international justice will prevail against Prussian militarism
