| Title | Letter from Fred T [Frederick Thomas] Trouton, Caerleon, Killiney, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Trouton; Frederick Thomas (1863-1922); Irish experimental physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 30 December 1901 |
| Description | He sends the proof of the Dublin Society paper on the [George Francis] Fitzgerald experiment. He does not yet have the condenser for the further experiment. He is thinking of a plan to get continuous rapid electrical oscillation by means of a dynamo. He expands upon this arrangement, including the charging and discharging of the condenser. It requires high speed and the machine he has was shaking, and must be strengthened.
With some pencilled calculations and a diagram by Joseph Larmor. |
