| Title | Letter from J [Joseph] Larmor, to 'Dear Mr Librarian' |
| Creator | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 1 May 1901 |
| Description | The condition on Mr. Main's donation was that allocation of scientific books to the Library should not be diminished in that account. The books on pure mathematics which have been scheduled come reasonably under that head although there is nothing in them bearing on Mr. Main's subjects, either physics of chemistry. Larmor has no objection to offer and states that maintenance of the serials on physics and chemistry has first claim. |
