Title | Letter from J L E [John Louis Emil] Dreyer, Observatory, Armagh, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Dreyer; John Louis Emil (1852-1926); Danish astronomer and historian |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir; Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 19 April 1912 |
Description | Updating Larmor that [Joseph Alfred] Hardcastle has informed Dreyer that the bill for printing the [William] Herschel volumes from Neill [ Patrick Neill Fraser, from Neill and Company, Limited, Printing Works] is '£49 for alterations'. He then speculates about why the cost has been higher than expected. He is sorry about this situation, but comments that 'if the sale is properly managed, a great part if not all of the outlay should be recovered', and comments that Professor See has informed him that there should be demand for this work in the US. He also suggests sending copies to publications for reviews. |
