DescriptionExpressing disappointment about the bad weather on Christmas Island. He then discusses the observations in Brazil, praising the photographs and the measurements. Bernard wrote that 'he had never seen better pictures of the Corona'. Dyson's analysis of the plates and results 'convinced [Dyson] that [Albert] Einstein's formula for gravitation was correct and not till then did [he] attempt to follow his method of obtaining it'. He also comments that 'Newall, who does not believe in Einstein did not criticise the photos but only the interpretation'.
