RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); British theoretical physicist
Date2 December 1910
DescriptionHuggins is thankful for the reference sent by Larmor, and for his letter 'in which [he] recognised so fully the "open-mindedness" of my Dearest on that nitrogen matter, [which] was a very real comfort to me at a very sad and difficult time for me'. She explains that there will be a delay in her replies to his previous letters because she has been ill. She is interested in the medal awards; she is glad that Sir Francis Galton has the Copley [medal], and that Professor [Heinrich] Rubens has received the Rumford [medal]. She notes that the Hales have not yet left for their trip to Egypt.
