Description | He is sorry he could not be with Larmor that day, due to a bad cold. He informs Larmor of [Arthur] Schuster's ambition to be chosen as Foreign Secretary of the Royal Society. He believes [Francis] Darwin still has two years left to serve but wishes Larmor to be aware of Schuster's ambition, in case Darwin should resign. He has written to Rayleigh regarding Madame Curie's work, and what numbers have been derived from the spectrum lines. He will be looking into J J [Joseph John] Thomson's new volume. |
