RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date28 June 1904
DescriptionHuggins has recieved Larmor's letter and writes uncertainly about the dinner. He writes on one hand that he is not so well, but he must go into town on business. On the other hand he and Lady Huggins could come if Larmor wishes. He is unsure as to how the presence of Mrs [Hertha] Ayrton should be considered. She wishes everything to be to her advantage and hopes Huggins does not wish as president to support her. He asks Larmor what he wishes him to do. [William Thompson, Lord] Kelvin has been complimenting Ayrton and was in the room with her last Wednesday. He asks if Slaker [? illegible] takes part in the Mathematical Society.
