TitleLetter from O J L [Oliver Joseph Lodge], University College, Liverpool, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorLodge; Sir Oliver Joseph (1851-1940); British physicist
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date25 April 1900
DescriptionHe thanks Larmor for help and criticisms. He has endeavoured not to misrepresent Larmor and has adopted most suggestions. Lodge is bothered about a proposal that he should take the new professorship of Birmingham University. People advise against it saying that it will stop his scientific work, but Lodge is unsure how much that matters. He is not sure if he could do the job and asks for advice. He wonders if he would get much time for writing, whatever his decision.
