Title | Letter from Horace Lamb, 6 Wilbraham Road, Fallowfield, Manchester, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Lamb; Sir Horace (1849-1934); British mathematician |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 11 July 1898 |
Description | He has wound up the Greeenwich business by sending in his notes on the papers. Lamb sends Larmor copies of all the papers he sets in May and June in the hope he will send reports. He hopes to have permission to plunder Larmor's papers, but if Larmor regards any questions to be in copyright he will respect that. He is pleased to have no more papers for three months. Hydrodynamics is above the heads of most people, other topics would be of interest requiring less artificial mathematics. He hopes that Larmor will have a proper holiday. |
