Creator | Newall; Hugh Frank (1857-1944) British astrophysicist and educational benefactor |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 9-10 August 1911 |
Description | Newall notes his location and hopes Larmor will soon be free 'of the tyranny of Westminster', and will be able to join him. He describes the house briefly, saying that the night train would get Larmor there for breakfast.
In a postscript, Larmor's letter has just arrived, with news of an Oxford engagement. Newall gives further holiday news, and is glad to know about Aberdeen, thinking that 'S will stick to his job'. |
