| Title | Letter from [Ernest Fox] Nichols, New York, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Nichols; Ernest Fox (1869-1924); American physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 6 January 1907 |
| Description | [William] Hallock has asked Nichols to write about steamers, and he advises Larmor to take the Cunard or White Star lines, rather than German ships. The three lines from Montreal to England have fast ships, the Dominian, Allen and C.P.R. lines; at least the former two land in Liverpool. The rail trip from New York to Montreal is about 13 hours. If Larmor relays his ship's name, he will be met. |
