| Title | Letter from [Ernest Fox] Nichols, Columbia University, Department of Physics, Phoenix Laboratories, New York City, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Nichols; Ernest Fox (1869-1924); American physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 17 May 1907 |
| Description | Larmor's letter of 7 May arrived and Nichols looked up G.H. [George Hartley] Bryan's age, and he is by no means out of things. His papers were not startling, but 'faithful and good pieces of work'. They know nothing of his personal side. He and [Alfred Heinrich] Bucherer are the same age, but Nichols prefers Cambridge mathematics. He asks Larmor if Bryan would consider coming to America. |
