TitleLetter from J W [John William] Nicholson, Trinity College, Cambridge, to J [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorNicholson; John William (1881-1955); British mathematical physicist
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date4 August 1908
DescriptionHe apologises for the nuisance, but thinks he must withdraw the paper in its present form ['On the bending of electric waves round a spherical obstacle']. He has simplified the whole investigation and calculated the effect in the wavy region, and wishes to rewrite it. The heavy analysis will disappear and there was a bad mistake in the results given. He does not know where, but Nicholson's new method shows its existence. He will send the rewritten paper soon.
