| Description | He sends the syllabus of the mathematics done by the R.M.A.s this term and questions for them should be easy with plenty of examples distinguished from problems. Larmor might 'let them down easy' on strength of materials as it is the first year. The difficulty level might be modelled upon algebra and trigonometry from last year, but lighter. These papers are separate and he leaves it to Larmor and [Horace] Lamb which of them will take one. The pass mark is 40% for each paper. Niven is now off to Britannia [Royal Naval College Dartmouth]. |
