TitleLetter from W D [William Davidson] Niven, Royal Naval College, Greenwich, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorNiven; Sir William Davidson (1842-1917); British mathematician
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date19 December 1901
DescriptionHe thinks Larmor might as well go in until Easter, as the hardest work of the J.N.O. papers is done. He thinks the pay is per month, so to be fair Larmor should draw it for the easier months as well as the harder. He asks larmor to send an official letter of resignation from that date. He supposes that Larmor has nothing to report on the recent Trigonometry examination, where the marks are high. He hopes that Larmor has been fully initiated in his new duties.
