| Description | He hopes that Niven's canvassing is going well. Niven sent out several letters and has received one reply, from Robert Milne at Dartmouth naval college, saying that he was committed to Harold Cox. Niven interviewed several naval instructors at Greenwich who had taken an M.A. All had taken their names off the College books. The instructor on whom he relied, A.J. Parish of Peterhouse, had gone to Switzerland on honeymoon. Charles Moore was sorry he had taken his name off five years ago, but he promised to find another vote. Niven gives names of those he has not heard from, and he advises Larmor to write to H.B. Goodwin, giving his address, and those of J.R. Clark and the Reverend Laurence. Milne has suggested that Larmor's opponents 'are not leaving any stone unturned'. |
