DescriptionRidgeway gives an account of his attempt to draw up a General Board report, but discussion of a Sc.B. for men was not agreed upon by [Albert Charles] Seward. Ridgeway thinks that Seward and his party want a seperate degree for Natural Science. After argument, they dropped the Sc.B. for the time being, reporting on other degrees, but the matter will be reopened. News from Ireland is bad, with Sinn Fein organising, arms being landed, and German submarines sighted off the coast. He comments on the 'seditious newspapers' and attempts to keep 'Freeman's Journal' in publication.
