TitleLetter from William Ridgeway, Flendyshe, Fen Ditton, Cambridge, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorRidgeway; Sir William (1853-1926); Irish classical scholar
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date12 June 1922
DescriptionHe has spoken to Larmor about Sir David Salamon of Caius College as a possible Honorary Fellow. He has done much for engineering and has been a generous benefactor. Sir Dorob Tata has give £250,000 to the Engineering School, to the Bangalore Reserach College and the medical work. He will certainly have to be given an Honorary Fellowship and therefore it would be hard to leave Salamon out. He asks Larmor to write down what he has said about Salamon. Ridgeway concludes with a few remarks on Lloyd George's coalition.
