Title | Letter from E [Ernest] Rutherford, 17 Wilmslow Road, Withington, Manchester, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Rutherford; Ernest; Baron Rutherford of Nelson (1871-1937); New Zealand physicist |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 2 June 1909 |
Description | Rutherford is delighted that Larmor will go to Canada for the British Association meeting. He has received the communications about [Thomas Howell] Laby's radium and will attend to it. He asks to be told when the Mackinnon Scholarship comes up, as he has a man, Wilson, up for the award. Wilson shows promise and has found some important things, as Larmor will find out when he reads his manuscript. Rutherford is worried about his British Association Address, and he complains at length about it. |
