TitleLetter from J H [John Henry] Poynting, Hazeldene, West Malvern, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorPoynting; John Henry (1852-1914); British physicist
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date5 November 1912
DescriptionHe has sent the Royal Society another paper on radiation constants from one of his men. The author is a careful worker and he has been learning to make the apparatus for two years. He intends to reconstruct this and try again, but Poynting hopes the paper might serve as a record of what was done, in case his reconstruction fails to improve matters. He is now having a tennis holiday and sympathises with Larmor having to attend the 'H of C' [House of Commons]'
