| Description | He was obliged to go to Bath last season for his health and was just returned when he received the annual summons to the Royal Society. He could not attend, having returned from the long journey. He asks what has been said about the comet seen in the constellation of Andromeda, which he saw last Saturday night. The tail seemed to extend three or four degrees. Finch is not enough of an astronomer to determine its position, but he encourages his correspondent to write, in order to correct his ignorance. |
