DescriptionAbout to leave town for a week. Returns his Lectures which he has compared to his original notes and added notes to be put into the margins. Will send accompanying plates where necessary. Discussing the order and synopsis for the printed versions of the Lectures.
Is glad to hear the [Isaac] Newton's paper is of interest to Collins, introduces him fully as Fellow of [Trinity] College, very young "being but the second year Master of Arts) but of an extraordinary genius & profeciency in these things" suggests the papers be passed on to [Viscount William] Brouncker. Will discuss [with Newton] the propositions made by Collins.

Annotated at the back in different hand: "Barrow to Collins Aug 20 1669", with some sums in pencil on both sides; and top right corner "N.1 p.66".
