TitleLetter, Louis Leakey, Steen Cottage, Great Munden, Ware, Hertfordshire, to Percy George Hamnall Boswell
DateApril 1936
DescriptionHe is going to apply for a Publication Fund grant from the Royal Society for the culture sequence of the Oldoway Gorge deposits with chapters on geology by Reck and on fauna by Hopwood. The application will be made to Professor Seward, who wanted to know what Boswell's attitude was, which he said would make a good deal of difference as to whether Leakey got the grant. Leakey said he would write to ask, and Seward would be glad to have a statement from Boswell. Leakey would be grateful if Boswell could write a preface, as he has seen the Oldoway sections. Otherwise people on the Continent will think that Boswell is at variance with Leakey on this too, which Leakey hopes and believes he is not.
