| Description | Drummond is sorry that Stanton feels that he and Fraser were given insufficient credit for studies in the 'pre-vitamin' days. He suggests that this is because Stanton's studies were pathological and that [Frederick Gowland] Hopkins' work comes first in the mind of physiologists. Notes some early examples of dietary factors being cited in disease studies such as scurvy. Hopkins's first paper was in 1906. The MRC report is about to be revised and Drummond will ensure that Stanton's point will receive more adequate attention. |
