Title | Letter from M [Michael] Faraday, Royal Institution of Great Britain, to 'My dear Sir' [Edward Kater] |
Creator | Faraday; Michael (1791-1857); British natural philosopher, scientific advisor, and Sandemanian |
Recipient | Kater; Edward (1816-1866); British photographer |
Date | 28 February 1861 |
Description | Faraday has been 'much interested' in the solander box containing remembrances of Dr. [William Hyde] Wollaston. If the box is presented to him, he will use it to illustrate Wollaston's character whenever the opportunity arises, attaching Kater's letter to it as the best history. He hopes he does not mistake Kater's intention, as he knows that if returned, he will always have access to it. |
