RecipientKater; Henry (1777-1835); British geodicist and metrologist
Date9 August 1805
DescriptionLambton has received the triangles and everything is right, Kater's operations were to his satisfaction. He discusses stations on the triangulation and notes that when he has finished in his present location, he will move westward to 'fill up the southern part of the blank' as far as thwe Coorg mountains. He now has more than one hundred good observations and if the weather holds he will finish at the end of the month.
