Description | Land tenancy log. For each estate the quantity of land and rents are itemised for each tenant (homestead, meadow, arable land etc), usually with a narrative history of agreements with the tenant. Some area logs are followed by a summary of out going expenses such as land tax and chief rent to the lord of the manor, and a summary list of total rent collected for each tenant (in pounds and shillings) along with the corresponding total quantity of land (in acres roods and perches). For Treswell the names of tenenats are noted as unknown.
Dates are not given against payments but the volume is headed 1788 in the title on the fly leaf.
A plan on parchment, showing the Tuxford Meadow in te parish of Eaton in the county of Nottingham, is stuck, folded, onto one of the endleaves. Surveyor is named as W. Calvert, 1792. The size and owner of each parcel of land is given. |
