TitleLetter from [Thomas Preston], Bardowie, Orwell Park, Rathgar, Dublin, to 'My dear B M'
CreatorPreston; Thomas (1860-1900); Irish physicist
Date23 August 1896
DescriptionHe gives thanks for a welcome letter, 'the bad weather accounts for you not yet having killed Bergin'. There has been a baby boy born, and Preston has bought a snall mathematical Library. He lists some of the authors, saying that the price was low, and he will dispose of any duplicates. He will do nothing until his correspondent comes home, in case he would like any volume, or if [Osborn Joseph] Bergin would like some for the library in Cork. Lyster has been, playing tennis in Buxton. There is little chance that he will see his correspondent in Switzerland, but he may get to the British Association. His wife is as well as can be expected.
