One of his earlier publications was an anatomical account of a circus elephant, which died in a fire in Dublin in 1681. Later in London, Moulin worked together with Robert Boyle (FRS 1663) on experiments with mercury. He was a very active member of the Dublin Philosophical Society, contributing a majority of the medical papers on experiments and dissections. He also designed a laboratory for them. He travelled to the West Indies with colonial governor William O'Brien in 1689, hoping to make a profit through mineralogy. However, he died shortly after in 1690 due to the effects of intoxication. |
