Description | 'Dear [blank space], The President and Council of the Royal Society having received from the Home Office a letter conveying the thanks of the Secretary of State to the Society for the assistance "so courteously rendered in the prosecution of the enquiry" into certain matters connected with cylinders for compressed gases, desire, in their turn, to express to you their very warm thanks for the trouble you have taken in the matter, and to assure you that the thanks given to the Society really belongs to you and your colleagues.
