Inclosed herewith I beg leave to hand you cheque for £200 and form of receipt for signature and return to me. This is the advance from the Royal Society made by resolution of Council at their last meeting. The previous cheque for £20 had been drawn in favour of the Secretary of your Committee and I have, therefore, sent it to Mr Watts for signature with the request that he will forward it to you in due course.
