| Description | Adverting to Newall's letter of the 16th, the Council have approved of the loan to Newall of the apparatus made for Professor Piazzi Smyth, for use in spectroscopic investigation. The apparatus is bulky and heavy and comprises several large cases, and it would, perhaps, be well for Newall to see it and look over the detailed list before steps are taken for handing it over to Newall's custody. It is at present in the Society's building. |
