Title | Copy letter from Arthur Wiliam Rucker, to James Swinburne, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 10 January 1898 |
Description | Is sending; copies of his own letter; copies of the syllabus of physics, 1000 cards to be completed by the abstractors. Was careful not to give direct instructions to the abstractors in his letter to Swinburne as he though Swinburne alone had authority to do so. In answer to Swinburne's letter, encloses for his consideration a rough draft of the kind of letter with which he supposed Swinburne would issue with the documents to the abstractors [not enclosed]. Asks if Swinburne has any amendments to this. Would like the cards to be forwarded to the Society in blocks of 50 as they come in, so that he may be able to deal with them in comparatively small lots. |
