| Description | The Council has devided to publish Sheppard's paper "On the Geometrical Treatment of the 'Normal Curve' of Statistics, with especial reference to Correlation and to the Theory of Error" in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. However the Council does recommend some improvements to the paper, included in the enclosed memorandum [not enclosed]. For instance, it could be improved by a short preface, a definition of geometrical treatment, and the paper being divided in to two parts. The first would contain the geometrical investigations and the figures in the text. Rucker returns the paper for consideration. |
