| Description | Discusses the reductio in size of Pearson's diagram, with which Pearson is unhappy. As the plate is ready Rucker does not feel that he can cancel it on his own authority and is sending Pearson's letter to the Chairman of the Mathematical Committee. It would simplify the Society's work if authors would draw attention to this point.
As to the University of London, Rucker doubts if the professorial[?] association should be revived. On the other hand he has himself suggested that there ought to be a watching committee. The Senate has appointed such a body, of which Rucker is a member, but he thinks the more 'German views' that are likely to prevail there should be supported by the communications of those who hold them. |
