Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Forsyth |
Date | 5 October 1899 |
Description | Has delayed replying to Forsyth's letter of the 2 [October] until he had seen Professor [Arthur William] Rucker regarding some of the papers that he found at the Society after the vacation.
Has sent Forsyth's [referee] report on Dixon to Professor Hill, who has returned it this morning and says he is in communication with Forsyth.
The only other papers requiring the attention of Forsyth's committee are; the paper on Aldis on which a rather indefinite report was received from the referee, which Harrison encloses [not attached]; and a paper by Professor Karl Pearson which was accidentally refereed to the Chairman of the Physics Committee. Encloses the reports on this and awaits instruction [not attached].
Notes unsuitable dates in October in case Forsyth is considering arranging a meeting of the Mathematics Committee in London. Until Council meets on 26 October the vacation powers to act without the Committee conferred upon the Chairman by the Standing Order remain in force. |
