Description | Rucker sent a copy of Lockyer's letter and memorandum to the Secretaries of the Joint Permanent Eclipse Committee, requesting any comments and also asking what steps were taken to ensure that all members of the Committee should have an opportunity of stating their requirements.
Understands that a meeting of the Committee is to be held before the Council of the Royal Society meeting on 18th June. Meanwhile Rucker has received the enclosed letter from Captain Hills [not enclosed]. If Lockyer wishes to make any comments there on, either before or after the Committee has met, Rucker shall be glad to lay them before Council. Asks that the enclosures be returned. |
