TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date20 July 1888
DescriptionRix sends up an update on matters of Royal Society business.

A paper by A B Griffith appeared in today's 'Nature' in the full form in which it was read at the Royal Society meeting. Rix notes that they must have got it from the author, but suggests that it is a bad system and though it may not matter in this case, it may in others.
Sends thanks for the note, which he interprets as indicating Foster will be at the Society on the 25th.
Rix has written to Langley to inform him his cheque is available when he applies for it, and has written to Professor Parker as instructed.
Rix encloses estimates for the figures accompanying James Cossar Ewart's second paper and asks if he may accept it. Lord Rayleigh says that Ewert's paper is to be published separately from the other two.
