Title | Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Andrew Russell Forsyth, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 7 February 1900 |
Description | After [Karl] Pearson's last paper had been in the hands of the referees and been passed to the Committee of Papers, Pearson wrote to Rucker to say that he had discussed an entirely new theory of correlations which promised far better results than the old one, and that he wishes to reconsider the paper in view of this fact. Pearson now writes to say that he has decided to amend the paper into two parts and send in one of them which contains the theoretical portion. Rucker encloses the first part herewith [not enclosed]. The two previous referees were F Galton and G Darwin. Asks if Darwin should have the paper in the first instance. |
