Title | Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Mr Andrew Ainslie Common, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 26 April 1900 |
Description | Respecting Common's letter of the previous day, the Society received a letter from the Admiralty on 16 April forwarding a copy of a letter from the Astronomer Royal in which he asked that Mr Franklin-Adams and Mr T Heath be added to the list of observers requiring conveyance. Harrison at once wrote to Hills to make arrangements. Briefly discusses arrangements to be made for James McPherson, Dr Copeland's assistant.
Presumes Common's Committee was not aware of these various facts and before writing to the Admiralty should be glad to hear from Common. Will write again regarding the permission to land et cetera, tomorrow. |
