Title | Copy letter from Arthur [William] Rucker, to Professor [Robert Bellamy] Clifton, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 30 April 1901 |
Description | Has sent Mr Clay's paper to [George James] Burch.
Sending a paper from [James] Wimshurst on the properties of rays emitted by Rontgen X-ray tubes, and suggests S P Thomson's opinion should be consulted on whether it should be considered for 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. Tutton has sent a paper on double selenates for 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. Three referees who have had Tutton's work before are Miers, Maskelyne and Armstrong. Asks if Miers and Armstrong or Miers and Tilden should be asked.
[Joseph Norman] Lockyer has communicated a paper by himself on 'Solar Activity 1833-1900' for 'Proceedings [of the Royal Sociey]' but may be too long at 18 pages. Recommends it for publication, but suggests [Alfred Edwin Howard] Christie or [Charles] Chree for another opinion. |
