Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir [Joseph] Norman Lockyer, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 1 May 1901 |
Description | Dr Hugo Muller believes that the De la Rue solar photographs were handed over with De la Rue's other instruments to the University Observatory at Oxford. Suggests writing to Professor Turner on the subject.
Harrison believes they have traced the three boxes of [sunspot] negatives to Canon Selwyn of Ely, whose widow presented them to the Royal Society. They are not being made of use of at present, and if they are of value they should be in some place more accessible to those interested in the subject. |
