Title | Copy letter from Arthur [William] Rucker, to Professor [Karl] Pearson, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | [May 1901] |
Description | Rucker explains he does like going on with Pearson's paper on the 'Theory of Errors of Judgement' until he can be quite sure what he wishes to be done with it. Both Rucker and [Sir Michael] Foster agree that any paper must go through the regular process of having referees give their opinion. This cannot be changed in favour of one author, and expresses wonder that Pearson should fear referees, especially in light of his record. Hopes that Pearson will allow his paper to go through the usual process. |
