Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to the Astronomer Royal, [William Henry Mahoney Christie, Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 9 December 1901 |
Description | Another letter has come from the India Office asking how soon they may expect to be favoured with the opinion of the Observatories Committee on the specifications and drawings on the instruments referred to in their letter of 24 September, 1901, Kodikanal Observatories.
Sees that minutes of their opinions were sent in last October by Sir W Huggins and Sir N Lockyer. It would be very convenient if the Society were able to reply definitely to the India Office that the Observatories Committee had been summoned to prepare a report on the subject. As the matter stands Harrison does not quite see how to reply. |
