Description | The Royal Society and The Royal Geographical Society have undertaken conjointly the management of the Antarctic Expedition. A joint committee of the two societies has drawn up instructions to the Commander of the Expedition and Director of civilian staff. The Royal Society accepts this, but the Royal Geographical Society has some difficulty.
The matter should be referred to a committee of six for final decision. Because of their wise council, Lindley, Arthur Bray Kempe and Lord Lister have been nominated for the Royal Society. Foster Stresses they are anxious he accepts. |
